Jason was great - very knowledgeable and very friendly. We got to see parts of Toronto we wouldn't have seen - or wouldn't have learned about in such a personal way - had it not been for our tour with Jason.

Jason had chosen a good place to meet near one of Toronto's main tourist attractions - the AGO which is the acronym for the Art Gallery of Ontario. Since the tour ended here it would be a natural "transition" to take in the gallery since you are "in the area".
We began the tour on a windy, partially cloudy day which later became overcast and then it rained. The timing was perfect because just as we were stopping for a snack at a local empanada shop across from the Jewish grocery store and near the European cheese market, it began to pour! We noshed on our yummy empanadas, talked about the tour and the area, watched the rain come down, and I was reminded of the lovely meat pies and pasties I used to get when I was in Australia... The great thing is that should such an event occur while the tour is going on, there are always shops to go into to get out of the rain. Our guide is very knowledgable about the area as he went to university nearby and currently lives in the area and, as a starving student, he became very familiar with places to get the best and cheapest deals, as he pointed out a number of eateries that sold the "best" dumplings, the "best" noodles, made the "best" sandwich for the money. I am definitely going to have to go back again to the area to experience more of the area and test out some of these "bests"! :) We saw the graffiti art work that has been commissioned as well as that which is not and how you can see a transition in ability through its style. Then there were the historical details and sites which added some wonderful nuances and flavour to the tour.
