Toronto Weather
The weather in Toronto varies between hot and humid in the middle of summer to wet windy and freezing cold in the winter. These are the extremes, but most of the year the weather is quite pleasant. Precipitation (rain and snowfall) is consistent throughout the year and there is no "rainy season" to speak of.
The proximity of Lake Ontario tends to moderate the weather most of the year. Summers in Toronto are very pleasant, spring and fall can be cool (especially after the sun sets) and the winters tend to be grey and slushy. Most Torontonians dislike being outside during the winter, but that in part has to do with the tendency for people in large cities to dress for fashion rather than function. With the proper clothing, even the coldest days can be enjoyable to spend outside. Buildings (shopping malls, theatres, restaurants) in Toronto tend to be super-chilled in the summer and overheated in the winter, so it is comfortable to wear light clothing indoors year-round.
